Move Stuckness into Flow

I guide individuals toward expanded awareness and improved performance. The Alexander Technique is a learning process by which we recognize and “un-do” unconscious and unhelpful psychophysical habits that interfere with our ability to move, breathe, and respond freely.

So many of us run on automatic, operating under the assumption that automating responses makes getting through the day more efficient, with one less thing to think about. But it limits our ability to respond freely and flexibly to life. Maybe we seek exercises to address fatigue or stress - but what about the causes? They lie in our unconscious habits and reactions.

The Alexander Technique is a means for identifying and changing those habits by becoming aware of excess tension through the head, neck, and back. Though opening and freeing that whole area, we relieve downward pressure on our bodies that cause heaviness and collapse, and allow a life force to flow through us that results in being effortlessly upright. We then apply this awareness to various daily activities, simple everyday movements, and more complex tasks.

Musicians use it to enhance their sound. Actors use it to access physical freedom. Singers use it to improve resonance. You can use it to improve any area of life.
