Move Stuckness into Flow

I guide individuals toward expanded awareness and improved performance. The Alexander Technique is a learning process by which we recognize and “un-do” unconscious and unhelpful psychophysical habits that interfere with our ability to move, breathe, and respond freely.

So many of us run on automatic, operating under the assumption that automating responses makes getting through the day easier and more efficient. Wouldn’t we like one less thing to think about? Instead, this limits our ability to respond freely and consciously to whatever we need to do. We seek exercises and techniques to address fatigue, stress, and tight muscles, but what about the  causes? They so often lie in our habitual, unconscious reactions.

The Alexander Technique is a means for changing those reactions by consciously choosing to free ourselves from excess tension - especially in the muscles of the neck - and other conditioned responses that limit our range, in the widest sense of the word.

Musicians use it to enhance their sound and presence. Actors use it to access their humanity and physical agility. Singers use it to improve tone and resonance. Everyone can use it to expand awareness and achieve ease in living.
